Man Gets 7 Years for Pimping Out Teenager On Facebook

SANTA ANA – A Northern California man was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in prison for attempted human trafficking and attempted pimping of an undercover officer who he believed was a 17-year-old girl.

Eric Dejuan McMillian, 33, of Oakland pleaded guilty last month to the charges in Orange County Superior Court.

He committed the offenses without ever physically entering Orange County, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

McMillian was on parole stemming from a separate 2012 pimping case in Orange County, prosecutors said.

In October 2013, while living in Oakland, McMillian became Facebook friends with an undercover Anaheim police officer, whom he believed to be a 17-year-old girl in Orange County, the District Attorney’s Office reported.

McMillian exchanged detailed Facebook and text messages with the officer.

He instructed the officer to perform sex acts for money, told her to send him funds and directed her to take a train from Orange County to Oakland to continue to work for him, said the District Attorney’s Office.

In October 2013, the Oakland Police Department assisted Anahiem police by locating and arresting McMillian. He was returned to Orange County to face charges.
